Does Your Dog Like Children?
Is your dog uncomfortable around children? If your dog is jumpy and anxious around children - panting, pacing or showing other signs of nervousness - be ultra-cautious about putting him in a situation involving children since it could wind up badly.
It is important that if your dog is nervous around children to work with him to help him become more comfortable. The most important thing to ensure is that every interaction the dog has with children is positive. This means making sure the children do not hit or scream at the dog.
Having the dog experience good things around children (petting, treats, etc) will help the dog learn that children are ok.
